SIOUX CITY, IA - Bob Vander Plaats, Republican candidate for Governor, has announced the recent re-design and addition of new features to his campaign website vpforgov.com.
“Our website reflects my focus and commitment to the voters of Iowa by meeting with them at a grassroots level and being clear on where I stand on issues,” said Vander Plaats.
The new homepage has direct links to the “Campaign Chronicle’s” feature that contains video footage of campaign stops across Iowa.
The initial launch includes clips from the Strawberry Festival in Farmington, the Freedom Festival Parade in Cedar Rapids, the Fourth of July Parade in Clear Lake and the Hamilton County Republican Straw Poll in Williams.
Local campaign volunteers and supporters are featured in the footage. Additional events will be added throughout the campaign.
An issues map has also been added to the site, allowing voters to obtain information on Vander Plaats’ position on the key issues of economic growth, education, management of state government, healthcare, family and social issues.
“We look forward to many voters utilizing the website to carefully weigh their options for the 2006 Republican gubernatorial primary,” said Vander Plaats. “I have met with voters in 20 communities over the past two weeks. They want to know where we stand on the issues and how hard we are working in this campaign. We are pleased to have this tool for all voters to utilize and to share our message with the people of Iowa.”
